Facing Lake Skannatati, on right side of lake/parking lot, take LP west to the Dunning Black Mountain Loop from Anthony Wayne Recreation Area (7.5 miles, moderate to strenuous). Red Cross, Beech Trail and Long Path Loop from Lake Skannatati This is a very nice loop passing abandoned iron mines and some great views from Hogencamp Mountain. This hike starts at the Lake Skannatati Trailhead.

Facing Lake Skannatati, on right side of lake/parking lot, take LP west to the Dunning trail. Take the Dunning trail north (right) to ASB. Turn right on ASB, back to Lake Skannatati parking lot. hike the Skannatati Loop to the Dunning Trail. Cross-country ski or snowshoe during the winter then rent a yurt or cabin and stay the night. 3. Sawtooth National Recreation Area Go backpacking, fishing, canoeing or ride your bike. Ride horseback and hit the trails.
